The Rogers Fire Department is seeking individuals interested in a rewarding career serving the community as a Firefighter. Firefighters respond to emergency medical incidents and a wide range of other emergency calls handled by the department.
Rogers firefighters work in both fire and EMS disciplines and are regularly rotated between ambulances and fire companies. The department provides extensive training, professional development, modern equipment, and opportunities for advancement throughout a firefighter's career.
Work Hours :
48 hours on-duty followed by 96 hours off-duty, approximately 10 work days per month.
Job Responsibilities :
- Respond to emergency medical incidents and the wide range of emergency calls handled by the Rogers Fire Department.
- Perform duties in both fire and emergency medical services.
- Rotate between ambulance assignments and fire companies as required by department operations.
- Obtain and maintain a State of Arkansas EMT Certification.
- Participate in required department training, continuing education, company standards, and annual evaluations.
- Successfully complete required firefighter training and certification programs as applicable.
- Follow department protocols, standard operating procedures, and established safety standards.
- Maintain the physical and mental readiness required to perform firefighter duties.
